Black Belt Grading June 2026

It was an absolute pleasure awarding Black Belt first Dan to Benedict Odobeatu on Tuesday 9th June 2026. He delivered an amazing performance and scored very high in all required tests.  Benedict joined 3 years ago with experience at intermediate level and has been training consistently since the beginning and improve both his technical and fighting skills. He competed at both light con full contact level with excellent performance,  Congratulation for the amazing achievement.

Image courtesy and copyright Duncan Grisby 2026Another very successful grading session on Sunday 7 June. 1 Blue Second, 5 Blue 1 Green Second, 1 Green, 3 Orange, and 5 yellow belts awarded to members of CARISMA and ARUKBC. Congratulations to everybody who did very well.

CARISMA has now the highest number of simultaneous blue belts it has ever had in its 27+ years history. It’s a pleasure we managed to attract and retain an increasing number of dedicated people who have been investing a long time in learning and progressing their technique.

Black Belt Grading June 2025

It was an absolute pleasure awarding Black Belt first Dan to Raul Iacob and Yifei Liu on Tuesday 10th June 2025. They delivered an amazing performance and scored very  high in all required tests.  Raul and Yifei are our lates addition to our instructors team and they both have active experience in full contact fighting and many hours of coaching classes and the fighters’ team.  Congratulation for their amazing achievement.

Grading September 2024

Congratulations to everybody who did very well.

Another very successful grading session on Sunday 8 September.  1 Blue, 2 Green Second, 3 Orange Second, 5 orange and 3 yellow belts awarded to members of CARISMA and ARUKBC.
Earlier in the week we also run a separate Black Belt grading for two of our instructors, Meitar Blumenfeld and Jethro Akroyd, who spent many years do date training with us and delivered outstanding performance  in terms of technical knowledge and skill as well as fitness.
