Competition in Peterborough, 19 Sep 2004

On the 19th September martial artists from around the region gathered once more at Peterborough for the Third Championship, Series 2004. The Cambridge Riverside Martial Arts, CARISMA, has been cultivating its young talent and sent a team containing many new fighters. For the majority of the fighters this was their first competition.

Sam Claydon showed true determination and won the Open Continuous category. This is a very impressive feat considering this is only the second competition he has fought in since he started Kickboxing early this year.

Justina Kozicki proved again that she is unstoppable in the Light Continuous Women Open category by retiring her opponent before the end of the fight; she then got a 3rd place in the Women's Semi-contact category.

Following in her older sister's footsteps Theresa Kozicki also showed courage and took a third place in the over 5'4" semi-contact girls category.

Massimo Gaetani, master of the club and on site couch was very impressed, proud and happy of the result of the club's young and promising pupils.

Well done guys!

Nevena, Ben, Justina, Theresa, Sam and Massimo

Results Summary:
Sam Claydon: 1st Open Continuous
Justina Kozicki: 1st Open Continuous, 3rd Semi-contact Women
