Competition in Peterborough, 23 May 2004

On Sunday 23 May CARISMA sent a team to second of the Peterborough Championship Series 2004. Once again the fighters upheld the club's reputation with another impressive haul of trophies.
Newcomer, Ronny Pineda started the ball rolling by winning 2nd and 3rd in the boys under 4ft 5 continuous and semi-contact categories.
Justina Kozicki continued her unbeaten record by winning the ladies semi-contact coloured-belt category with an impressive number of points scored by axe kicks.
Also fighting in his first competition, Sam Claydon fought his way to 3rd place in the men's open light-continuous fighting. With a relatively short experience in martial arts Sam showed great promise for the future. Fighting in the same category Chris Home went on to take first place after a "David and Goliath" first bout.
Andrew Gilham capitalised on his reach advantage to win 3rd place in the Men's semi-contact coloured-belt. With a longer experience in martial arts, teammate Dave Buck went on to take 2nd place in the same category.

Well done guys!
