Competition in Peterborough, 9 February 2003

On the 9th February the Cambridge Riverside Martial Arts club, CARISMA, sent a team of eight fighters to the Peterborough Championship Series 2003 Open Martial Arts Competition where they won a massive haul of eight trophies.
Chris Home and Alan Green fought in the Open Continuous category to take 1st and third places respectively. In the Women's Open Weight category Rebecca Strange fought her way into the final to get 2nd place.
Showing great showmanship Alan Green also won 3rd place in the Men's +79kg, semi-contact category by beating his opponent with a "crowd pleasing" display of jumping spinning kicks.
Fighting in his first competition, the team's junior fighter Adam Hindmarsh (13yrs) lost narrowly on points against the champion in the Boy's Cadets category. Robin Turner benefited from his experience in previous competitions to win third place in the Men's under 79kg category.
In the Mens -69kg Semi-contact division Chris Home got 2nd and Nurus Zaman got 3rd.

Well done guys!
